What are the requirements of participation for Cincinnati Children’s ECHO?
We request participants attend regularly scheduled sessions, present patient cases, and complete pre - & post - series surveys. We also ask that they be actively visible on video while using required teleconferencing software, Zoom.
What technology/equipment is needed to participate?
CCHMC ECHO uses secure, internet-based video conferencing software. Participants can connect to the video sessions through their phone, tablet, laptop, or a computer with a webcam. Technical support is provided.
Who is eligible to participate?
Any healthcare professional who wants to engage around a topic, share their experience, and learn from their peers can attend CCHMC ECHO sessions. We welcome clinicians, patient navigators, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral health specialists, and public health practitioners.
What is the cost?
All of our sessions are free, but require a commitment of actively engaging in the peer learning community by sharing case presentations and ideas with the group.
How far in advance should a participant register?
Registration opens for each cohort approximately 4- 6 weeks in advance.
How long are the series?
All of our series are 7-8 sessions long and meet for 60 to 75 minutes several times a month.
Can I obtain CME / MOC or continuing education credits in all the ECHO cohorts or sessions?
The majority of our cohorts and sessions do offer CME / MOC or continuing education credits. Credit for specifically approved licensures. Reference the program page for the program of interest for more details.
Do I have to attend all the sessions in order to obtain CME / MOC or continuing education credits?
Learners do not have to attend all the sessions to obtain credit. Some cohorts do encourage an attendance threshold of 75%. However, credits are offered for each session attended. 1 session = 1.0 - 1.25 credits. For more details specific to the activity or credit type. Is this only for physicians?
