New Vaccine Resource site is live - Cincinnati Children’s is pleased to introduce a new vaccine resources site to help you educate your patients and families about the importance of vaccines. Dr. Tina Cheng, Chair of Pediatrics states “In accordance with our legacy, and current expertise in vaccine research, Cincinnati Children’s is committed to advocating for immunization in the local community and beyond.
Critical Care Building – on the way - The new Critical Care Building at Cincinnati Children’s is scheduled to open to patients, November 6, 2021. The new space (Location G) will add 632,500 square feet and 249 new beds (including 36 ICU overflow beds).
Community Practice Support tools update - Thank you for your continued interest in the Community Practice Support Tools. There are 42 topics now available in the library, and it continues to grow.
Cincinnati Children’s Expands Burn Care Services - With Shriners Hospitals for Children-Cincinnati moving out of town, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center remains committed to treating children with limited burns in its Burn and Wound Care Clinic at the main campus in Avondale.
Cincinnati Children’s Cardiology Clinics available in the Dayton area - Various Heart clinics are being offered at Kettering Medical Center. Urology is holding clinics at the Beavercreek Medical Center.
PPC Update - Effective January 2021, the CCHMC primary care sites (PPC, Hopple Street, Fairfield Primary Care and School Based Health Centers) have revised their new patient criteria in order to better meet the access needs of their current patients and the surrounding communities. The new criteria are based on patient zip codes in order to encourage families to seek primary care providers closer to their homes. For these reasons, the CCHMC primary care centers will no longer be accepting new patients (including siblings of established patients) who reside in KY or IN .
